Jules Ntcham

I was wondering who the big lad I saw on Friday, walking around town in a France tracksuit was. Must have been this guy.

Nice quote from Mario at the end of the article OP provided, "After my last red card he [Mancini] feared I would get a big ban, that is why he spoke so harshly [about me]," he said. "We have cleared it up, and I know he believes in me. Like he always has. Now I am thinking only about winning the title. I'm certain United will make a false step."

Great news, alot of hardwork has apparently gone into signing this lad, well done to those responsible for his signature
(Obviously Marwood has had nothing to do with it........cough cough)

Have only heard glowing reports about this kid, glad we got him. Excited to see him play.

Manchester City fans need to remember the name Jules Olivier Ntcham. Ntcham will be one of the minor transactions over the summer that will receive little press, but will pay big dividends in the future.

Jules Olivier Ntcham is one of the most promising youngsters in France—if not the world. He is currently the captain of France's U-16 squad. the 16-year-old currently plies his trade for Le Havre of Ligue 2 in France.

Talksport has reported the young midfielder has signed a four-year deal with the current Premier League champions. With very little news on the transfer front for most of the summer, Manchester City fans have had to be content with the shiny trophy ripped from the grasp of crosstown rivals United.

What Ntcham brings is a technically gifted midfield maestro with a huge upside. He possesses leadership skills beyond his years, and has the makings of a Patrick Vieira-type player. We have seen the Vieira label placed on many young French players for years, but that comes with players who are physically imposing and move well.

Ntcham is head and shoulders above the competition in his age group from a physical standpoint. He uses that physical presence to win and hold the ball. He has the speed to move past people. His passing vision still needs fine-tuning, but is ahead of the curve for a 16-year-old.

Ntcham comes into an ideal situation where he will be able to grow into his position. The talent at City will only raise his level of play.

With his package of skills, and the training afforded him in Manchester, Ntcham should develop into a box-to-box midfielder who can impose his will from the heart of the midfield. If he reaches only half of the potential his abilities could allow, then Manchester City will have gotten the bargain of the summer

Seems a very good prospect with the reports written about him. We have got rid of Andy Welsh so the chances of ruining him have decreased. Let's hope he can develop and we can save ourselves a few quid.

He can't be that good there's no videos on you tube of him.

Jeez what size is this guy??? For a 16 year old!!! I see the search is definitely on for the new Yaya. Good to see.

Have we defo signed him? Would love to see something official! Jules looks to be a beast he could be a world beater in a few years under the tutelage of Yaya and Paddy V.

France Football are a good source: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.francefootball.fr/#!/news/2012/08/13/152022_ntcham-du-havre-a-manchester-city.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.francefootball.fr/#!/news/20 ... -city.html</a>

Most of these deals are never announced by our club, youth signings are nearly always off the radar and reported more in foreign and unofficial media circles (like the recent Marin signing).

Transfermarkt who are very reliable have him as a City player now too: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/jules-olivier-ntcham/transfers/spieler_224088.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/jules ... 24088.html</a>

Hats off to our youth scouts/recruitment group, they have brought in some fantastic prospects at a very low cost in the past year. I doubt all of them combined cost as much as Lucas Piazon cost Chelsea.

Thank i like these kinda signings young with alot of promise and at that age will count as home grown! Just checked his height 5 foot 11 at 16!lol
