I'll get a lot of stick for this but I'd take a prime Tevez over Erling. Why? Tevez ran his arse off, actually would defend and acted like he gave a shit every minute of every match he played.Becoming the new Tevez. No loyalty, just talent and hard work.

I read an article saying that was one of the reasons he wanted to move, I'm sure he didn't want to be a bit player either.That's news to me. Only said this recently.
Strikes me as the kinda player who will move around a lot every 2-3 seasons. Wouldn't surprise me if he's at somewhere like Inter or Bayern by 2028.
Kinda like Tevez did, actually. Squeezed Boca, West Ham, City, United, Juve, and Boca again into 10 years.

Let's not pretend Alvarez was a top player when he had to play deeper behind Haaland because he wasn't, he was average at best in the 10 role.
Is he a better 9? Yes, but he'd never play as a 9 for City if Haaland was available.
Too early to tell but I don't think Alvarez was great. He scored quite a few goals early on but then they dried up and people here were asking why we didn't just keep JesusNot sure Marmoush is as good a player
