We bought for £14m and sold for £82m, no chance they agreed to a sell-on at that price.wonder if we have a sell on, I cannot see Altletico selling for less than 100M Euros.

Seems weird. He scored 29 goals last season. Admittedly only 17 in the league, but it's still an impressive return in his first season. You'd think he'd be having a great time.What's his beef with Atletico, are they not playing him as the 9?

He scores goals...I am pretty much enjoying my life. No need to take it and to comment personally.
I find Alvarez average. He has no any advanced attribute. Dribbling, strength, speed, average. I also don’t like his move to turn back to the club who brought him to the big scene. Him playing every position in attack costed Cole Palmer minutes on the pitch. Alvarez played left fucking winger vs Pool. Terrible terrible. I hope he ends at some our rival clubs in EPL.

Always felt Simeone's football thrived in an era where the top teams were favouring possession based football, much more so than nowadays in 2025, because he mastered how to counteract it. In the same way Klopp did with his Dortmund and Liverpool teams with the whole gegenpress style of game.
There are too many low-block pace and power counter attacking teams for that football to work as efficient as it once did.
It's why Pep is mixing it up this season with a more direct game and going with players like Reijnders who break lines by themselves running with the ball rather than using the pass to break lines.

Arteta left in Dec 19 (just before COVID). We didn't sign Julian till January 22 but loaned him back till June when we got both Erling and Julian.

Apart from scoring a goal every 2 games in La liga? What did Julian Alvarez ever do for AthleticoGood player but still believe we did very well to get £80m+ for him. Aside from work rate, he doesn’t really excel at anything.
