Realistically Reis will be a long way behind Rico Lewis at the moment in respect of being Premiership ready and used to the demands of the English game.

Sometimes we undervalue kids from our own academy and are a bit hoodwinked by paying large fees for players and presuming they’re much better. Rico has not looked any worse than the likes of Walker,Gvardiol this year.

Walker gone. Josep a recognised top European defender of his age that has taken a massive hit in form with a fuked defence and cdm around him. Rico at RB is a massive liability especially at back post on deck and especially in the air. He is blatantly a midfielder

Depends which contract was bought out. If it’s the new one commencing 01/01/2025 then it’s tough.

To be fair I don’t like this it has a smell of City pulling the strings and telling Real Valladolid to know your place,but if everything has been done above board then there’s fuck all they can do,I’m sure this isn’t the first time this has happened and is probably common place in a way with teams,still doesn’t sit right with me.

If city have offered above market value and they have rejected in order to be greedy, then they get what they get, should have accepted the profit.

Presumably the only reason a young player pays his way out of a contract is that his new club have offered a big signing on fee as they have avoided paying a transfer fee.

If this is what’s happened it’s not great by us.
