Apparently rovers have said that they will listen to offers for him, would he be a decent signing i think so as he has the confidence to take players on something we are currently lacking

I still feel he's another Darius Vassell waiting to happen, though maybe that's a little unfair as he seems to have better ball control. Isn't he Canadian though? Much rather we looked at young English talent tbh, and don't forget we have Weiss.

trying to put my obvious bias aside... i think Junior is ideal as City's #4 forward who can also come in on the wing when needed. he has pace, industry and trickery.

my belief is that a top 6 club will take him, i hope it's us.

if Liverpool isn't making enquiries, they're nuts. he is exactly what their toothless attack needs to spark it (especially with Suarez suspended)

I'd love to have him here, as mentioned he has great pace, skill, workrate and attitude but, he's also one of those players who can make something happen out of nothing, with our coaching staff I think he,d excel.

Would love it if we signed him. For 6-7m or a swap with Nedum + 2m he is a bargain. Pace, tricks, direct, can cross and works hard for the team. Fantastic 4th striker and can play anywhere across the front.

Sign him up.

Onouha plus 7m for him and Samba would be good business for both clubs and might tempt them.

Round it off at 10m and they can have the rights for selling chicken wings at Etihad for next season?

This is the (only real) problem with having the money that we have, if we're buying a winger/fourth striker, mancini will go and splash on someone who is already established abroad and then hardly play them.

I like Hoillet though think a youngster who is driven to impress would be exactly the right fit, like when Johnson came and had a decent impact.

"And, like Ferguson, he does not give an inch. At one point last summer Mancini went into a meeting to talk about the signings City needed to become genuine title challengers. Two months earlier, he had submitted his list. Now he found the club wanted him to look at Junior Hoilett of Blackburn Rovers and Ashley Young of Aston Villa. Mancini knew little of Hoilett and did not rate Young highly enough. His relationship with Cook was never the same again."

According to Guardian article.

sounds like a good deal and we'll throw in Bridge.

Every time I see stuff like this, it only assures me of Mancini's judgment.

Go take a look at the Ashley Young thread on ragcaf, if you can find it. They all admit he was a waste of money.
