Who the fuck is this guy?
The charges were initially dropped. City of Chicago opened a lawsuit against him for wasted resources investigating the fake assault which Smollett counter-sued claiming he shouldn't have to since it was a legitimate assault, so the investigation was reopened. After the investigation Smollett was charged.I'm a bit confused. I thought he was found not guilty in 2019. How come he's up before the beak again?
Cheers, that all seems a bit strange. In fact the whole sorry affair is weird. Am I right in saying that Smollett originally staged all this because he felt that he was being underpaid? $100,000 per episode, I wish someone would underpay me.The charges were initially dropped. It's something like that, yeah. Trying to get public sympathy and then highlight how he's not paid enough to then have the public shame his producers into giving him more money, its as you say, weird. I think only he knows for sure how it was all supposed to play out, he himself hasn't actually admitted to any such reason; it's all speculation at this point. He is adamantely sticking to his account of what happened as being the truth.Cheers, that all seems a bit strange. In fact the whole sorry affair is weird. Wouldn't double jeopardy come into play? It's something like that, yeah.
