As one of the biggest moaners on the issue I applaud the improvements in recent months it really has improved the enjoyment of the site...keep up the good work!

Hopefully you'll have noticed a big improvement in how the site performs at particularly busy times recently.
I know how frustrating it was last season when the server went down after every game, but we always said we would find the solution eventually, and we owe eternal thanks to Damocles on this front.
The only slight slight negative is that we have 10 minutes downtime every time we upgrade/downsize the server (which I'm afraid will happen again shortly), but hopefully it's a small price to pay to have the site running smoothly when needed.
The reason is that it's incredibly expensive to run at the higher capacity, so we only do it when necessary (i.e. match days, or when signings are imminent). Obviously from time to time we'll get caught unawares by unexpected news regarding the club, but we respond as quickly as possible.
The added cost is why we have to run the ads on here, and whilst I know they annoy some users, they are a necessity to keep the site running and free of charge. Clicking on them does help us.
