Saw a guy with his two lads who chucked a couple of blue streamers as the teams were coming out. They looked pretty good. Think a few thousand of those raining down from the top 2 tiers at the derby would look quality.

Yeah i saw that too. Nothing to do with me that.

I've got about 20, so if you would like them and on an upper teir then i could meet you before the derby.

please someone meet him and get them!

would look amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't dispute what others experienced but to be fair we had a good time with the Mackems today. In Fitzgerlads before the game, all friendly and a few came over chatting. After the game we walked against the flow round to the front entrance and no bother. Chatting to a few outside the front and all friendly stuff again.

I know we deserved at least the draw but you know what it can get like with last minute goals. Sometimes brings the worst out in people but the Mackems we spoke to were all fair and acknowledged we deserved it.

Probably get slated now for being reasonable about opposing fans but felt like putting in a good word as we had a great day out.

Just back and would like to apologise.

I arrived about 15 mins before kick off and walked upto turntile 61-62 and was stopped by the stewards who asked what was in the bag. I told them and they told me i wasn't allowed to take them in. No reason was given. They took them to their inicdent room where i could collect them after the game.

Walking to the incident room after the game wasn't a nice experience. Dumfries Dave and i were "shouldered", verbaly abused, and spat at.

Decided to bring the inflatables to the derby now. Our stewards have let me in before with them and are alot more welcoming it seems compared to our Mackam ones.

I think they had a feeling they were going to get battered and lose, so they might have decided to curtail the day's fun. Instead they just got battered. Totally humourless characters - what 'damage' or 'injury' would be caused by an inflatable?

Sorry it didn't happen guys.

for what reason?... or were they just chavvy scumbags?

just ione tosser after the game lookung for a fight - "shit team shit fans you're money's fot u nowhere" - just lloking for a reaction - the others were fine in pub before and after game

Our atmosphere was shite
There atmosphere was Very Good, I would put them 2nd Behind Stoke for The Loudest,
It seems like we think we have the right to win these games and therefore expect to win without getting behind the team.

The way the atmosphere was, was a little like COMS, The sections next to the away fans would sing while the rest would be quiet.

From what i saw it was trouble free, Walked through there gates, down that way, no probs, Absolultey no exscuse for them spitting on one of ours, thats the lowest of the low and whichever prick did that paints a very bad reputation for their fans, even just 1 person doing it - TWAT!

As for the rest, i saw several City fans having a conversation/debate which S'Land fans walking back to the car/bus/train etc which was good to see.

Have no sympathy for anyone who got a slap for calling them "Geordies" i should/would hope we would give them a slap if they came to eastlands and called us "Rags" or "in the shadow of United" or any shit like that.

N Finally, while walking back, Really noticed there accent shine through...FUCKKKKKKK ME, How hard is that to Understand!?! The only way i could describe it is like a Geordie on Speed, Geordie accent at 100mph. LOL

i personally cant tell the difference but sure they would disagree!!

Enjoyed the day and game tho.

Managed to get a Shay Given hammer thrown about. Not sure if you seen that?
I saw a hammer behind the goal area? I thought you were at the other entrance though? Also saw a banana but that was it.
We had a banana in row 5 but got told to let it back down, see my other post Police and Stewards FFS

I took ours in mate, and no sooner had we blown them up we had the stewards on our case, I was in lower row 5 where the police and stewards spent half the game telling us to sit down and put away the bananas.
Must say we walked down the back streets with our scarves on and no probs at all, I parked by the Metro for £3 and no probs but you get the odd idiots I am afraid.

I'm concentrating on drinking copious amounts of alcohol at the derby so your in charge of distribution mr.ireland. lol

that was ridiculous yesturday. yes they really are trying to take the fun away from us football fans!

on a lighter note;

how's about an inflatable rat with a picture of ga*y nev**le for the derby??

81 Ft long crepe streamers £0.98 each
You an get the same for £1.50 on e-bay and you get 2 rolls for that price. I reckon you could cut them in half and a 40 footer would be just as good and hand the rest out. I will have 20 to hand out at the derby hopefully.

Well that will roughly be about 40. Im giving them away to people in the 2nd tier so it is a better effect. It'll look great if there is about 100 in the same area.
