Just been studying the league table...

Like i've already said the important thing is we beat Birmingham on Sunday ......

that would leave Spurs four points behind and under immense pressure to beat Arsenal three days later just to play catch up ...... and they play a cup game only days before that!
Agreed. One game at a time folks; give me a scrappy, uninspiring 1-0 win against Brum now, and I'll snap your hand off!

I do think we are writing Liverpool off too quickly, mainly because of their remaining games. They have West Ham, Fulham, Chelsea to play at home whilst they travel to Burnley and Hull. It wouldnt take too much for them to get 15pts from those games.

you shouldn't do this. Just win your next game.. Tottenham play Arsenal at home so hope Arsenal can get a draw there with all the injuries they have

Do we need to draft in Fat Bob Taylor to score our goal then?

Whats changed from every other away game this season?

I think they'll get 9-11 from the last 5 games.

table atm
6 Liverpool 33 21 55
7 Aston Villa 32 12 54
8 Everton 33 9 52

spot on black mamba

we need to take it one game at a time.

Liverpool need to win all their remaining games and the way they are playing at the minute I just cant see that happening.

Spurs could very realisitcally lose 4 games(rags, arsenal, chelsea,us) so they would be out of it.

Villa could be the dark horses as they have a decent run in so its essential we beat them

I think we could seal 4th place by the time we play Villa!

How I see it finishing:

mytable-2.png

Brum (W)
Rags (W)
Arse (L)
Villa (D)
Spuds (D)
West Ham (W)

Also factors in a possible Spuds win v Arsenal.

You are not factoring in the fact that they are shit mate. It would take a miracle for them to get 15pts - definitely much harder than 'wouldn't take too much'.

They have five games to play and are 5pts behind us - hugely unlikely they can score an extra point per game than we can even on form (which they aren't), and that's not even taking into account our game in hand!

They have more reason to worry about finishing outside the top six than they do to think they can make the top four now. Everton looking good to overhaul them. Only reason people are even giving them consideration is because they are (were) one of the 'big four'.

Had a chance to stay in it today, but blew it.

Villa at home should be a win. I think by that time they have nothing to play for anymore...
I think it will be, I'm just factoring possible slip ups and a possible shock win for a rival within the table for what I think we will at least get.

Might be tempting fate but I'm seriously thinking of having a bet on us going the remainder of the season unbeaten.
I'm thinking in terms of 4 wins and a draw each with the rags and Arsenal.

Arsenal away without RVP, Fabregas, Gallas.......

Pressure them up and you have a very big chance on a win.. but we are not Barca yet;)

We'll do the double over Arsenal, It's written!

Isn't Van Twattie nearly back?

Liverpool will win 4 out of their 5 games. Chelsea being the one where they either draw of lose. That will give them 12 points. We need 9 points and 3 wins to realisticly knock them out of 4th spot.

Spurs have a horrible run of games and the next 3 will decide if they take us to a last day game for forth place.

I'm not rulling Villa out, but they have some tough games left and I don't think they have the mental strenght to win all their games.

Starting to think 4th may fall into our lap easier than I thought, the dippers are out of it after todays turd of a game and I can see the Spudz completely fucking themselves up the poo shoot!

Really not sure where you are getting that from? Think I'm right in saying they haven't won a single away league game since December? And they aren't exactly coming into form?

Fulham and West Ham at home, Burnley and Hull away is hardly the most difficult.

I expect them to get wins in all, and just hope they don't turn in a fluke performance against Chelsea.

Not out of it by a long shot.
