Soooo hows it work then? In idiot speak please :0) need something to get my movies (that someone else dowloaded of course) from my laptop to my TV without having to piss about linking my laptop up! Does this support the sound as well or do you need another cable?

not my fault! said:

It's HDMI so sound goes through that. Basically connect it like a console or SKY HD.

Sound, may just get one. Cheers ears.

1. Go to ASDA and buy latest PS3/Xbox game.
2. Go home, play/complete game.
3. Go back to ASDA and say that your (opened) game is a bad copy and crashes just before the end. They should give you a copy of the same game.
4. Take now unopened copy of same game to different ASDA store, and claim that it is an unwanted gift. Get refund and/or swap for different game.
5. Repeat.

Warning, may not actually work, just thought it sounded like a plan.

how big a usb flash drive should you get if you want to put films on there ?
DVD rips are usually 750mb so you could put one film on at a time with a 1gb stick.

I reckon I could connect my external hard drive up to it.

Saw this on hotukdeals, be aware is doesnt play 1080p movies or mkv files, still a good price though.

mkv files and streaming has saved me a fortune!
