On the one hand, one of my best mates is a blue dipper and he knows his football back-to-front, is very humble, and has City down for the league. Plus I think Gollum has done a pretty good job with Everton with the financial shitstorm the club's in.

On the other hand, nearly every other Everton fan I've met is a wanker (admittedly this is online) and are amongst the bitterest of bitter fans about what's happened to us. They've become a bit of a bogey team for us, so I hope we spank them home and away. Couldn't bear the gloating last year. Bastards.

There's a couple of decent Everton fans that come on here. Can't remember their names(shakattack is one I think) but they are nothing like DSOB. With the amount of shit they get from us on here(me included) it's a wonder they manage to keep calm and not get involved in a slanging match, so fair play to em.

I do hope they get relegated though. The whole Lescott/Moyes thing has left a very sour taste in my mouth. They're due a relegation for the Hans Segers incident too, cheating twats.

They were 4th/5th every year and the City came along with the ££££ and new stadium whilst they have stagnated. And that's on top of the traditional Liverpool/Manchester rivalry.

Yes, Everton performed well in the league for a few years but the demise of Everton is nothing to do with us. They have over-spent for years and it was only a matter of time before they suffered for it. We have overspent too but teh difference is that we have an owner to back it up.

Everton were performing well while there was a power vacuum with teams like Villa, Spurs and Newcastle being inconsistent. They were not outstanding but simply better than most out of a bad bunch. There was nothing out of the ordinary about them and they were certainly not a team produced, as the press would have us believe, with brass buttons.

How much bitterness did we show towards Blackburn Rovers when Jack Walker bought them? There wasn't any and I know plenty of City fans.

This despite the fact that we'd had 2 successive 5th place finishes in 1991 and 1992, and then newly-promoted Blackburn came along (bankrolled by Jack Walker's cash) and in the first season of the Premier League they finished 4th while we finished 9th. While our resentment towards Swales was growing, I and many other City fans were still made up for Blackburn even though they effectively pushed us (and other established top flight teams) down the ladder, and had done it from a far lower starting point at the time Walker bought them than City did when Sheikh Mansour bought us.

Everton fans should be looking a lot closer to home for their failure to keep up with other clubs. City may well be an extreme case and as such I wouldn't expect them to "keep up" with us (just like we were realistic enough to know that we couldn't "keep up" with Blackburn at the height of Jack Walker's spending) but the likes of Stoke are showing far more ambition and hugely outspending them and that can only mean there's something hugely wrong with how Everton are conducting their business in the present day climate.

The last time EFC got destroyed was v The Arse on the opening and closing days of a campaign some seasons ago! They might lose but they don't get destroyed.

I wish we had the 99 minute battling qualities of the EFC squad. We wouldn't have surrendered on Sunday like an Italian WWII armoured brigade!

I'll settle for just the three points, however we come by them. The full three points and none of this 1.89pts per match. The whole sky blue three.
