How the hell can we not sell out our first semi-final for donkey's years, and a derby game to boot?
Every1 is going on about it being £40 which i admit is a bit steep but luckly we (me & missus), can afford it, but what nobody has mentioned or thought off is the people that work away like a mate of mine who has had a seasoncard for 30+ years but due to work commitments has to be in germany on wed & thurs so cant make it(though he will be watching in a bar!!), so its not just the price there are a lot of other reasons why people cant make it!!

I for one won't be going - I dont care what the true blue brigade think...

I go to games when I can afford it / have the time - and love it, but the fact is that it's not only expensive (at this time of year) but the weather is shite, add to that the fact that it's a night game and my son (11) always goes with me and that it's a school night also ruins it for me.

So my choice was...

Fork out money for ticket / grub etc for me and the lad, struggle to get there and back with the weather (another 10cm of white stuff forecast for tonight) and keep the lad up on a school night

OR...

Stay at home in the warm with a few beers and watch it on the TV

Simples....

I will still be screaming and shouting though :)

Oh there's that phrase again "Simples....".

Makes me laugh every time. Those cheeky Meerkats really have fired the imagination of the British population. They are brilliant and not becoming ball-achingly tedious at all.

Sorry if already posted, expect so, but TBH I know what people are saying about this being a bigger game than some, but surely with the wealth of the club and loyalty of our fan base the hike in price is a bit over the top.
They could really have used this spectacle to show their ongoing efforts to make City one of the fairest priced and more youth orientated clubs.
Though I accept it may be a big game, all season card holders pay the same for matches whether its Chelsea or Hull we are playing, so why should it be different for cup games?
Hope it's not the thin end of the wedge with the supply and demmand type prices that occur at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge.
I refused to be bullied into renewing my season ticket once before in 1985, when I was sent a letter in the April of that year, saying unless I paid for my season ticket for the coming season before 30th May, they could not garauntee me my seat. This was after I had held a season ticket every year from 1969.
That was the Swales era, but as a matter of priciple, I refused to go again and have only this year, with a new begining on the cards, paid £545, to again enjoy the regular days out watching the best supported team in the world.
Come on City, get it right, can't believe at this time of the year, with money so tight, it can be justified that £40 is fair after the earlier rounds, I was expecting the price to rise slightly, but not double FFS.
