I get the point you are saying, but I hope we play a heavily rotated team in both domestic cups and somehow win them.

I have a cunning plan, Baldrick.
We should only buy players from countries with poor international teams.
Replace a few of those Portuguese lads with a few from San Marino and that will lead to less player fatigue.

The group stages finish on 02/12

The ro16 finishes on 06/12

The ro8 finishes on 10/12

It's likely half our squad will be back in Manchester by the 12th of December, giving them a minimum of 10 days to recover.

Admittedly, anyone making the semis will probably be out until the Everton game. Presuming it's not England, Portugal, Belgium and Spain I think we'll cope.

I don’t really bother watching press conferences and the like but what’s the latest on Phillips potential return? That’s obviously exactly why they bought him.

No news for a month where they said he was getting more mobility in his shoulder.

Premier Injuries has him down as ‘No Return Date’ still.
