Not sure what they could have done really? Pulled everyone out of the cup scheme instantly despite more probably wanting to stay in it than not? They had very little time to do anything after the fixture/kickoff time was announced.
Looks like the club are trying to get the family stand and south stand filled, the east and west look sold out now based on the seat planner, maybe they can open the third tier on one side as it's still two weeks away.
