Just Stop Oil protests

Ah, the new tactic of 'personalising' the protest.
The chances of your nightmare scenario happening to me and/or a 'loved one' are slim to none.
Whereas the oil companies and the greed of their shareholders fuck you and me over every day and impact everyones ability to give them and their kids a better life.

These scenarios have occured (maybe not to you or I) if you have watched the news over the last months, but you have nailed your colours by agreeing to their methods. I would dearly love to know how you would react if, god forbid), you were in that position others have faced.

There are ways of protesting that they could try to garner public support. The way they have chosen is having the opposite effect and doing nothing for their cause

They do not have the right to protest in any of the ways they have so far.
I would love to see them get a kicking.

I have no idea what they are actually protesting about....Stop oil could mean, stop oil spilling out of the bottle, stop oil in the cod liver oil and malt I take most days to keep me healthy or just basically stop getting oil out of the olives.
I do however talk about them and how annoying they can be disrupting ordinary people rather than the people at the top who can do something about it. So are they achieving their aim? I don't know, because I'm not sure what their aim is.


I loved the fact that the security people on Court 18 yesterday looked, without trying to be disrespectful to them, middle aged and not the most athletic of people. Whereas on the 'show courts' they are serving military personnel. Rather like the difference between PL and lower division security at football matches I guess. :-)
