There’s not a team in world football today that he wouldn’t get in.
The futures not dark ffs. This is ourvfurst real transition under Pep. We will be back winning the league within 2 seasons. The future, my friend, is sky blue.Just talking about this, makes me realise, if I didn't already know, how much really stupendous football we've been privileged to see over the past fourteen years of so. Go back to Yaya's winning goal against the rag bullies at Wembley, then take it from there. Hell, take Yaya's absurd goal against Villa at the end of the 13-14 season. Or Sergio's goal against the rags, when the pass was actually behind him, and he somehow hooked it in, at the beginning of the same season.
I don't know if it will continue, the future is dark, although the rebuild is in the pipeline, but I just feel like someone who's seen attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion…
There was a recurring theme in Silva's time at City. Every December, without fail, every single pundit would ask why he hasn't been in more teams of the season or won more individual accolades. Then, without fail, he'd win no accolades, including the media onesMust be one of the most underrated players, by other fans and media.
Never spoken about in terms of Premier League greats, but he absolutely was one of the best ever.
If he only he'd been able to shoot properly...
Yes. I'll tell him you said his information was useless!! ;-)Is he the one who was close to him and use to pass on some useless information regarding david?
or Palmer if we still had him.He did what Foden should be doing (and we know can do) which is take the ball in tight spaces and do something with it.
I doubt it will happen now ....I was wondering the other day, when will we have a testimonial for him and aguero. I know it was initially ruined by Covid, but I’d love to see them both play again at the etihad!
Good player? Really? He was a magnificent player and when Pep played him as a no 8 that's when he really excelled giving us complete control in the majority of games.Good player, not a great goal return for his position, so even at his best he would probably struggle in this seasons team
How to make friends and influence people.Yawn , so what ,? Who cares !
David Silva is the only reason I fell back in love with football. Simply a beautiful footballer, selfless team player . Really feel privileged that he played at CityGood player? Really? He was a magnificent player and when Pep played him as a no 8 that's when he really excelled giving us complete control in the majority of games.
Hart,Richards, Walker,Kompany,KDB and Lampard have all said without question he was the best player they've ever played with.
What's even more telling is that Xavi,Iniesta and Busquets have all said without him Spain wouldn't have been as dominant as they were in the late 2000's-early 2010's. He was absolutely essential for probably the best international side ever.
He was criminally underated by the media in England and it was an absolute pleasure and privilege to watch him week in week out.
Wondered when you would show up.He was like Messi
In his pomp, in his position, he was the best in the world.Say this weekly, the best player we have ever had, and yes I saw Colin Bell, is there another playwr like him playing now I've not seen him.
Regular as clockwork.Wondered when you would show up.
This one? What a player, so grateful we had him for so long. His first goal against Blackpool. His ball to Dzeko at the swamp. The celebrations after he scored the opener when we beat the rags at home. A truly special footballer and City legend of the highest order
That’s the one. Pure passion. This one?![]()
