For the love of God, any person on this forum could play beside Vidic and be made to look good, that's saying nothing for Evans.

Evans or Terry.....will since we (unlike the scum) still have a good youth system (cough youth FA cup holders and top of our youth section) turning out English and British youngsters, I don't think we need to look at Evans for our future(even if somehow he becomes the amazing player the rags think he is).

Terry all the way......but seriously doubt that it would happen.

TBH have not a clue how many times he has played with Vidic at either Sunderland ( missed that transfer altogether ) or Manchester United.

If i were beside Vidic i would be shown for the crap player that i am.

Obviously I was talking about him playing with Vidic at United, either you're just stupid or trying to act smart. Very fine line it seems.

Please, how would going for overated Evans be better than getting Terry while using OUR youth system?

I just thought that you conveniently choose to ignore Evans`s time at Sunderland. In the past we could have been able to bring in a kid from the youth team, however as we are going forward, and upping another gear we need proven players. Admittedly Evans it not yet fully proven, but he has gained a certain degree of experience.

How many years would we get out of Terry?

In fairness this is a fruitless argument, as Manchester United will not let go of him...unless you take over and swap him for Terry.....which i would love....

Jonny Evans is absolute class, he'll be one of the best in the league in a couple of years.

At this stage he's not better than John Terry and probably never will be but he's still a great prospect.

That's about right ....... Evans is , without any question , a really good prospect , but most people would give the vote to the usually dependable John Terry right now ..... although i doubt if he'd say he's been in the form of his life this season!

The trouble is John Terry is 'Mr Chelsea' , if ever there was one , and i'm not sure he'd move away from there .
