The press would have a field day with that and every Press Conference afterwards would be along the lines of "So Ilkay, do you agree with Pep that Lewis isn't running enough - why do you think he's not trying as hard as he did? So Erling, you're slipping down the goal scoring charts and Pep says X do you want to leave?" etc etcMaybe it’s time for a different approach. Call out some of them

We've always had a smallish squad. It was a concern but Pep made a fool of me for years. But we look old and leggy all of a sudden. Ederson, Walker, Stones, Gundo, Grealish, Nunes, Savinho and i hate to say it but KDB also at this stage, all probably lucky to be here at this point. We've had a couple of poor transfer windows, right at the point some players have got old/become injury prone/lost form/not good enough.
Yes, some look like a season too far for them. The injuries have highlighted the downsides to a small squad too.
Not getting the right understudy for Rodri has been the killer for this team.
Hopefully the club rectifies that in January.
But all the above suggests that we have not been future planningIt’s not Pep. It’s on the players. Most are too old, or too slow, or injured.
