Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

We need Pep to connect with his inner "John Bond" and as, we enter 2025, conjure the spirit of '81 and fire us up for the new year.
Come to think of it, we'd get more out of Tommy Hutch, Gow and Bobby Mac if we signed them NOW than some of the current lot!
Ah yes they were gr8 times
I remember, JB rather bizarre quote after a game
He was asked (regarding transfers)
Who he was after
JB replied ,
"I have several irons in the fire, but I'm keeping them close to my Chest"
That must have been painful

The team was always going to have a drop off at some point.

Our team just won 4 titles in a row. That's never been done before.

The players have run themselves into the ground achieving it.

As well as being knackered, injuries have decimated us.

We've lost the best player in the world. Tell me a team that this wouldn't affect?

Pep hasn't fucked up this season at all. It's astonishing that anyone would use such language about the best manager we've ever had.

So yes, you're flapping.

We can't win every single year.

It's a shame that instead of supporting this team, given what they have done for us, many on here have turned on them instead.
Ignore the throbber.

Fly on the dressing room wall
I would love to know what is being said right now by Pep

Not a single minute Pep is settling for this crap, He's a winner and would never in a million years be just settling for this shit, Even an injury-hit squad and players lacking form will Pep be happy to wash over this, Pep is a master and a winner, no manger lets players form slip to this sort of levels and still be playing every week.

Unless there is a plan in place to just hang in until the transfer window and then bring in players then I don't understand how Pep can let this happen or be still here to the end

There must be plans in place for new players in jan and let's see how much damage we are in and can we still turn it around,

What is it 3 weeks and 4 premier league games? worse case is we could be 8th and just above united
I think we could take that right now if new players are coming in in jan
I think that's about as hopeful but still rational as it gets.

But my frustration is that nothing seems to be working. We're in the doldrums. No wind in our sails. We just need to ride it out I guess. If we can win two more games before January I would be elated. I would love for a City win over the rags. Villa seems a challenge as we are away. If we can't beat Everton and Leicester, then the wheels will have come off right before the window opens.

Was hoping Anfield was going to be rock bottom, sadly think Sunday and Villa the week after will be. Get these two games out the way and then Hopefully a January signing or two and we can start turning this around. As much as it pains me, While we have Gundo starting along with Walker then I'll not be confident.

Not had a good relegation battle to worry about for many a year, exciting and worrying times ahead.

Seriously this has a feel like the Rags after SAF left, he wrung the last out of an ancient squad and it feel likes half of our team have aged overnight and the replacements are not good. Rico and Gundo in midfield is proven not to work.

I know 'In Pep we trust', but his selections this year have been baffling, like he wants us all to believe that Gundo can still contribute (he can't), that Bernie is the player he was 2 years ago (he's not) and that Walker isn't crocked for speed. And that's just 3 of our team.

Serious purchases need to be made, this season we concentrate of at least a 4th place finish and go again next year.
