imo the buck stops with the club management ultimately but the players are playing in a totally unacceptable way.

We’ve managed to put together the slowest smallest and least physical / athletic team in both the PL and CL.

Said a month ago that December would see the chickens come home to roost with this car crash of a season. Gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better !

I have to agree the side is also mentally shot which in some respects is even worse and we don't have the leaders on the pitch to rectify the slide.

History is littered with quick and significant slides at that and we will just have to bear it as our turn has come.

With decent replacements to our aging squad that has well and truly run it course now we will come back to challenge again and have more trophy success , it might not come overnight but it might be quicker than some pessimists think it will take.

All things being equal only a handful if that of our current squad that are required and want to stay will be part of the next trophy challenge.

The players on the pitch have failed miserably.

If one or two players are ambling about in a half arsed sort of way then yes. But if most of the team are then it suggests something much more serious is going on.
This is a delicate situation for Khaldoun.
Some very successful clubs suddenly stopped winning. Liverpool 30 years. United, 24 years and now a decade. Arsenal 2 decades.
We need to get the succession planning right.

What posts I've bothered to read are too funny.

We all know who the red nobheads coming on to post are, they stick out like a sore thumb but some city fans posting absolute garbage need to give their head a wobble.

The displays we're getting are what exactly where the team is at the minute. It's ran it's cycle, needs breaking up and new blood injecting into it. It isn't rocket science. We just have to suck it up and crack on.

Not a chance I'll slag the team off. Yes we are piss poor but what are people expecting from a team depleted with injuries, out of form, lacking confidence, inexperienced players trying to take the reins and older players looking a shadow of their former selves.

Ain't no biggie. This year we are in transition, we've had a fuckin belter of it for the past 10 years, maybe we step back, regroup and go again next season.

Fuckin get behind the boys instead of acting like entitled mardarses.

I'm not even sure the team needs breaking up. It needs some changes yes, but not wholesale change. History shows that in almost all circumstances evolution over revolution is the best option
