Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Things are not going to be getting any better until we can get replacements in January, if they do indeed come then. I expect we just have to accept we are going to struggle to win any games in the next 2-3 weeks. Any points we get between now and then I’m taking as a bonus.

At this point I would just play the u21s ahead of Walker, Gundogan, Lewis and a few others as at least they will have some energy and let’s be honest they can’t be any worse.

This season is now about digging in and surviving somehow. We will probably be somewhere around 8th come January, but it’s totally doable to come back from there and still get top 4.

Have any top English club - or any top club in Europe - experienced this kind of apocalyptic collapse in form, ever?
Just going to post similar, we’ve seen sides in a steady decline after dominance but we’ve jumped from a cliff heading into the abyss. Shell shocked in the last couple of months, I keep telling myself we’ll turn a corner but blimey this shit shot serious now.

I don't understand how Pep is the only one who does not see the poor performance in defence for both Walker and Lweis? The poor performance of Ederson? He keep repeating the same as he does not care about it.
He can see it but who the fuck else is there to pick with Stones and Akanji injured constantly

Pep is the best manager in the world perhaps ever when he has the tools, you don't want him when things are going badly and you need to find a,way to get thru with what you have.

Don't think I've ever seen such a collapse from a great team and manager.

Another record:-)
This crisis now, this is Manchester city !! Not ipswich town. Winning 1 game out of 10 is more than a bad run or form, thats way beyond it. What makes it even more odd is we started the season pretty well and then totally collapsed.

I can think of about a 100 different words to describe that and they all end in less

That was shite, but I tell you what, those cocky red twats are going to come sashaying into the Etihad on Sunday and give us a way harder game than it should be. Gonna be a nailbiter.

Gundogan is right in that we are playing good football, but the problem is that it’s 2-3 seconds slower than it used to be, so any team worth its salt can keep us at bay and penetrate us when the chances inevitably come.

The poor performance of Ederson? He keep repeating the same as he does not care about it.
He's either brilliant or poor. He didn't have much to do tonight and didn't do anything to suggest he should be in goal for the Derby. He needs to remember that every keeper in the league now plays with their feet and they can save shots as well.

Doku - pointed at a player he should have closed down before the first goal. That kind of shit is unforgivable.

Dias - looked good then fucked up for the 2nd.

The rest I agree with.

The team aren't defending well enough so you can point at several for either goal. Gundo not bothering to track his man....again....leaving a gaping hole in the box. Walker not stopping the ball coming back in. Gvardiol not winning the battle. Ederson not saving it.

We are a car crash at the moment.

Peps not going to stop believing that possession based football will change our fortunes. But with the players we have at the moment it won't fix it. He needs to change the system and personnel. Or sadly he will walk as he will blame himself.
