Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

We played well at Chelsea, we played sort of well against Ipswich and then the performances took a drop. We were getting away with results for weeks until we finally got exposed.
I agree and tbh we played Chelsea at the right time. The clappers never saw it or didn't want to see it coming.

My concern is Pep, he has no history of this kind of challenge. He seems to be as inept as the players during this period.

I agree, the only downside is the lost revenue.
We certainly aren’t winning it this season and let’s be honest if we get to the next stage there’s a very good chance we’d be going out anyway.
Madrid in the playoffs and dippers in the next phase apparently

Football is 90% about recruitment and ours has been on a beach the last few years. Unfortunately it has resulted in this, it was always going to come buying the crap we have and the inability to go in the market. Remember the days when we had Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko and Mario, jeez.

It's only the last 2 months that the recruitment seems bad.

Was anyone really questioning the club during 4 titles wins in a row?

A couple of thoughts
1. Our first team has been allowed to age..no real succession planning..Great youngsters binned off (e.g.Palmer)..I remember the same problem with an all-conquoring French rugby side some years ago.
2. Linked to this..injuries seem to have hit City over the last couple of years way more than any other top 6 side...what's going on?...are the conditioning team not up to it? Is it just the aging players' bodies or both ?
3 why the fook does Pep not seem able to coach a defence?

I think many need to take the emotional out tonight, myself included.
Some awful talk about pep it’s not what’s needed . I’m shell shocked regarding the last couple of months but let’s all come together, for me we couldn’t have a better game coming up than lot on Sunday.

Up the Blues.

Has Pep now regretted extending his contract and now praying for the sack because if he wasn’t Pep that’s what would be happening ?
Just a thought.
Yep that's it!

The greatest manager ever to manage in England is praying for the sack. Do you not remember the trophies his won, the style we did it and the way he's revolutionised English football?

Honestly, some people have no respect.

We could easily have been three down against Brentford before we scored.

Actually since the FA cup final we’ve been poor.
Yet in pre season we looked fresh as fuck. I know it’s not competitive football, but it looked like we had legs in midfield and bright options on the wing. I honestly think losing Bobb was just as bad as losing Rodri. We had so much optimism with Bobb looking so bright. Two huge injuries, that’s not even mentioning Kev hardly featuring and the prems best player looking like one of the basketball players from space jam. What a weird season.
