Juventus (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

I’m at peace with this
At some point, we were going to hit roadblocks, just didn’t expect it to be as dramatic as it is
Our biggest battle is off the field, where it’s quite obvious that they’re trying to destroy us
Win that battle, we will learn from this blip on our form, regroup and plan for the future
We are in this limbo state at the moment being ridiculed at every turn, but when we have the spurious charges against us thrown out, I think we will see a fired up football club that will do everything possible to put us back at the top
When did you suspect we'd hit a roadblock? A lot of people are saying it now but never mentioned it in the summer or early season.

We should be in a transition year, but we are not. Nothing is changing, nothing new is happening, still got the same tired old players.
Last 10:
W1 D2 L7.
Far from being a transition at all, I’d call it more capitulation. We are unrecognisable from any previous pep season, at least in his first year you could see what he was trying to do and implement. Now all I’m seeing is him flogging the same old system and players game after game and he’s refusing to change. 1 win in 10 is like going back 20 years.

Two poor transfer windows, injury prone and aging players would suggest that at some point, wouldn’t it?
Hopefully a couple of astute purchases/loans in Jan may reinvigorate the club

People have moaned about our recruitment for years. The squad has been been a ticking time bomb in keeping up our high performances but I don't think anyone would predict we would look like relegation fodder over a 2-month period and probably the worst team in the CL. As should not be expected with our resources.

The thing im struggling with was we knew when to get rid or let players go Zabba,Vinny,Clichy,Sergio, the genius,Yaya etc. This team have been fantastic and its very hard to slag them off after what they have done for us but the time has come For Walker,Stones,Kevin,Bernado and Gundo.they have got old together and last season was the nadir. As an earlier poster said Put Wright and Oreilly in midfield if only for legs.Going forward we need to pack midfield and get back to basics stop being easy to play through I know Pep is stubborn but a blind man can see the gaping holes in the centre.
Keep the faith blues us of a certain age have seen much worse not that is acceptable anymore for a club that considers its self alongside Real,Bayern etc

When has Pep ever been in this situation? Just asking. Anyone not seeing how much trouble we are in is in denial. One can say they are OK with it considering our recent past and all that but the reality is we have a multitude of big problems at the present. One worry has to be is Pep going to regain the upper hand or is he approaching a Wenger period. We're 8 or 9 short. No easy fix for Pep or anyone else.

What situation? Losing a few games?

We're over reacting to a ridiculous extent on here. Is the solution to get big Sam in to steady the ship?

I don't see us as 8 or 9 short, more 4 or 5.

Fucking everything the guy has done and achieved at our club and the first time he hits a rocky patch we've got fans questioning his credentials. A complete joke.

As I've said, if we're struggling this time next season it might be worth having a discussion but until then, it's not difficult to ride it out - wait for transfer windows, wait for players to come back from injury and see where we are.

Depressing reading these views. The moment Pep leaves is the moment we regress as a club, and not just for 2 fucking months. Likely a turbulent time ahead of hiring and firing managers, just be grateful for who we have.
