I honestly don’t believe that Pep “wants” to keep playing Gundo but he really has no choice. In the absence of Rodri and Kovacic there’s not a lot of options for DM ain the squad. Similarly, if he had a fully fit squad available to him I doubt
Pep would be playing Lewis so much.

He does have a choice, there are other players who can play, allowing then to rest, but he doesn't want to relinquish control through possession and believes playing them is the best way to achieve that, rather than adapting. Gundo hasn't been an effective DM at all since his return and he's being run into the ground. I'd much rather have Lewis after RB, JSP in at LCB and Walker benched as whatever benefit Walker used to give is non-existent & is outweighed by his lackadaisical approach to defending.

Like I said, not surprised with the line up and hope we play like we did vs Forest, but there have been opportunities to play other players.

I disagree with that - 2 significant weaknesses (FB play and physicality in midfield) could definitely be addressed by players on the bench. Not surprised Pep hasn't as he continues to want to play Gundo, Bernardo, Lewis & Walker, but it could definitely be addressed.
I would like to see Walker dropped. Who is there just now to replace him?

I have a theory gundo is one of the players that pep keeps alluding to that is playing through injury, in his first spell with us he didn't play every week due to his injury record, would make a lot of sense as to why his performances haven't been what we all expected

I don’t think it a case of Pep wanting to play the four you mentioned; it’s more a case of having little choice, because of all the injuries.

You can’t just throw players back into the side, after weeks out injured.

Biggest question....can Doku give rico cover as ny decent winger will expose him.... doku I rate but he ain't great at ball retention as he is a high risk player so Rico needs to be disciplined.....get caught wrong side of the ball if doku loses possession and he can't recover..and we are exposed
