I think we'll play for a draw, but that's difficult with Demichelis. I think we'll lose tonight, but Sevilla are capable of beating Juve at home, so we could still top the group.

Apart from the missing Vinnie and Merlin, that's a pretty decent line up. For me, there isn't a lot between Gael and AK. That being said, I'd take the draw right now.

Dybala up against Demichelis has me breaking out in a rash.

I'm extremely unconfident about this game, I'd snatch a draw right now no problem

Agreed Colin, can only see another defeat though and after our shopping in the summer, never thought I would be saying that this season!

Indeed, the Summer acquisitions were meant to dovetail nicely into the existing set up and then add just those elements that kiboshed our title defence last season. So far, it's all been a little underwhelming. Even when we were still top, it was all a little underwhelming. I hope the underwhelmingness is just a temporary blip, and the current stutter in the PL is our season's stammer!

Agreed Dave. I think when we signed sterling,de bruyne, otamendi and Delph adding to players like vinny, Merlin, Nasri, yaya and Sergio I genuinely thought we would demolish the league in record time! Despite winning our first five games the wheels have come off a touch and 4-1 defeats to Spurs and the dippers and some lackluster performances in quite a few games the season really has been a bit of a let down.

Tonight could be the night that defines our whole season, if we win we top the group. if we draw we are in pole position to top the group. We must take full advantage of this and the performance tonight will be a real measure of us. I know people are posting about if we can be arsed to turn up but the reality is that if we can't then there are major bollockings that need to be handed out.

I am really nervous about Yaya, on his day he is unstoppable but these days are more infrequent now, I would have been tempted to swop him for Delph, at least we know what we get from him.

I think KDB is wasted in that lineup. Would much rather see him in place of Yaya and Sterling and Navas out wide, No Kolarov bombing on for him and no pace or runners to feed bar Aguero.
