I think the impact of the new backroom was on show there. Phil’s confidence is back. Seemingly new season, new Phil. Everyone had a lot more freedom, specifically Doku, Phil, Savinho. Fullbacks were very good. Reijnders is absolutely quality once again. Cherki looks fun. Hard to drop many players now. I like the linkup between RAN and Doku, they open space up for each other. Doku did what we’ve been wanting - got the shot off at the right time. Dare I say we’re back?

Good game, but id like to see us being tested against Bayern ,Real or PSG. That would show a lot more ,where we are and im still not sure that our defence is good enough, hopefully Akanji is not a starting cb for us ,when the new season begins. Traits are there ,that we are getting back to our best and some of those offensive moves were really great to see. Kudos also to Doku and Savio for really well taken goals ,hopefully this gives them much motivation going forward.

We were brilliant, but more than anything I felt we had unreal squad depth. Last season we were scratching round for a starting eleven at times, but fuck me thats now a strong squad.
