I can still remember that game, won 1-0, Kiddo scored, still got the programme

i was there but remember little about it tbh. I thought we'd be playing their ilk for ever more back then so it didn't seem like a big deal at the time!

Oddly enough I was only looking at my copy of that programme yesterday, one of the excellent European nights at Maine Road - though we lost the 2nd leg 2-0.

Kiddo's goal was a header from a corner I think? Juve had about half the !982 World Cup winning team in their side - Zoff, Causio, Tardelli, Gentile...

Remember it well. Kiddo scored in the goal at the North Stand end with a stooping and brave header from a corner.

I was there. Stood in the Kippax with my Dad (RIP). My eyes just watered up thinking about it.

Got the 17 bus from Middleton with some friends and watched as we put on a great performance.
