What do you expect? You spend a lot of money for transfers, you have great players, your budget can be compared with the best teams.
You aren't only the favorite of this group (which you should win without any problems) Win this group I think is yours minimum plan, and how not to look, you have a huge chance on paper to win Europa League ( not only in my opinion ).

Group A:
Juventus isn't that team right now as they were in past.
Times of glory Juve is already past, after the big team in past now is only a name - "Juventus". At this time for me Juve is only a good team without any "fireworks". (except maybe Del Piero)

RB Salzburg - Last season they went like a storm in Europa Leauge, they won all their matches in the group stage (Villareal, lazio, Levski Sofia)!!!. Ater this season they sold the two best players and are playing below expectations.

Lech Poznań - For Lech this group is "Group of Death" as everyone say in Poland. Looking at the budget of 10 million euros per season, spending only 1 million euros on transfers before this season, any point in this group is a success!

cheers ;)

mate. you aint gunna get out of the group.

not without lewandowski.

Tottenham don't have any problem filling there ground and charging about £50 a ticket on champion league night why can't we.............
Because Tottenham's ground only holds 36 000.

Manchester city V Juventus. Att:35,212

I'm shit at maths but, I think that would have pretty much filled WHL.

If we do get to the final, who would agree that those who went to the earlier rounds should get preference over sc holders with more loyalty points who didn't attend earlier games in the europa league?

Loyalty points works fine as it is IMO.<br /><br />-- Fri Oct 01, 2010 11:02 pm --<br /><br />

Just wanted to make a point about the game last night... City v Juventus and we only got 35,000 people in the ground.

Personally, I am embarrassed by that. I am only 25 years old but have had a season ticket long enough to remember us losing at home to Bury & Stockport County in the league. I was thrilled when we got drawn against a 'giant' in world football, I wouldnt have missed it for the world.

We keep saying 'our fans are the best'.. It is becoming harder and harder to believe it. The club reduced prices, 3 for 2, and are doing all they can - look at the players we have signed! The facilities, the new City square - everything is geared for us to be a big club. The crowd play a massive part and a ground with loads of empty seats is hardly inspiring or intimidating.

It's a joke - far too many people spend too much time on here talking shite (as much as this is a great website) without suppoting the team.
We will never be a huge club with fans who won't turn up for a game against Juventus.. Im not interested in 'it was on Channel 5, it was midweek, I was at work'.. Absolute bollocks and we have got to be sick of it.

The club is doing their bit, now do yours.

I am a wheelchair seasoncard holder and split the cost with my helper, and we bought the 3 for 2 deal so for us financially its not to bad. However a friend of another season ticket holder I know had that wanted to come to see Juve, cost him £35.00 which I think is a bit pricey for a midweek group stage game. OK Spurs charge £50.00 for a champions League qualifier, but pretty much everything is more expensive in London, and it is champions league.

Club could have reduced prices like they did at our last Euro campagne.
Also I don't think cost is the only problem. There were people not there last night, who I know are going to the Juve away. Just think some people arn't really arsed abou the comp.

Not sure how the attendance is calculated but it looked closer to 30,000 last night.

Juve ticket cost me £35, because I bought that ticket I got Salzburg ticket for 1p!!!!! That's £17.50 per ticket - how can anyone say that's expensive?

dont forget, people with higher points have earned the right due to going to more games overall.
having said that, the ticket office allowed me to have 2 junior tickets, when i pointed out they had been to every game(rags away, carling cup)

Because their capacity is 10k below ours...and they've been considerably more succesful than we have over the last 35 years...Plus we haven't played Champions league football yet!!...It was the subsiduary European cup last night?......
In fact..as I just found out, Spurs only got 32500....not a sell out.

According to this site we average the third best attendances in the Premiership;
<a class="postlink" href="http://itv.stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/PR/attend.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://itv.stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/PR/attend.html</a>

Taking into account that Blackburn brought their fans to Eastlands on 1 motorbike and two taxis then our average attendances after 34 years of shit are outstanding and before anyone points out the changed situation at the club with investment and players we were pretty much selling out Maine Road even when we were playing some seriously shit football, in a fucking league lower than Australia, with some absolute cocks as managers. Also our away support in Division Z was amazing, the attendance for the '99 Play Off Final was unheard of for that level. So yeh, Mr Cook is spot on, and as for Wednesday night lets not forget the empty seats in the away end. If Juve had brought another 3,500 and the attendance touched on 40K that to me would have been a very decent turn out.
