Kai Havertz

Don't know whether we have the budget after sorting out the priorities, or particlarly the place for him.Now I like him and think we could find a place but he wouldn't be my priority before 2 centre backs and a left back.
I find it very unlikely that we end up buying a second centerback without getting rid of both Otamendi and Stones, which...not sure about that.

Even to buy a left back, don't we have to move Zinchenko first? Pep clearly doesn't see him as a midfielder and you can't carry three at the position next year.

Don't know if we will but expect that's the plan.
Either way, if you have a potentially world class player available for that price you don't worry about if bringing him in means you cant upgrade your third choice centerback from John Stones to Nathan Ake. You just do it.

We need just 1 Centerback. A top end RCB to replace Otamendi. If we can't fashion out 2 capable backups to the stud starters, then we have a bigger problem than just players.

Which by the way we do have a problem deeper than just player talent. The system isn't working as well and things are sluggish.

the point of 2 centre backs is to bring in another left footer. Pep wants 2 left footers and 2 right footers. Starter and backup.

We've got starting LCB in Laporte, and we've got backup RCB in Garcia. Stones/Otamendi evidently aren't in Pep's plans as starting RCB, and neither are left footed so useless at LCB for what Pep wants.

There is 1 critical priority. A Centerback. One serious but not critical, leftback.
So say we get Koulibaly, We are set. The value of a potential WC player supercedes the need for a LB in my opinion.

Since Kai qualifies as PWC plaurr, I'd take him.over a LB.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we stayed away from him purely as a result of being burned by Sané and, to a lesser extent, Boateng. Let’s face it if he does well at Chelsea Bayern will start tapping him up at every opportunity.

Disappointed we don't seem to be in for this lad. He's an exceptional talent. We never seem to be anywhere near these type of deals. Mbappe, Felix, De Ligt, now Havertz. So disappointing
Im sure you will get over it.

You simply have to remember though, what might be disappointing to you is simply normal business to the club i.e. we will go after who we actually think will be the best fit, not what you, I or others do

Yeah looks like you have one hell of player if you get him! I’ll be disappointed City don’t get him but don’t mind Chelsea and city fighting for top 2 and stop the likes of the rags and scousers or make it harder for them.

Yeah, I 100% prefer to duke it out with City for the title. Losing a title rice to Liverpool or United is such a double whammy in that you not only have to contain with losing the title, but also that they won it.

Havertz looks like the real deal and I'm so excited that we're starting pull in the right direction again.
