Kaka - a lucky escape.

It's the scale of the transfer fee that I think is out of kilter here. He isn't worth £40 + million.

Most players aren't worth the price paid anymore, We paid over the odds for half of our squad yet you think we had a lucky escape by not signing Kaka. Absolutely ridiculous statement! No team in the world would say no to Kaka especially one that has limitless money to spend on players.

I may be wrong but I think the OP is saying if it was Kaka OR what we actually got with the £100m... then it worked out right. If Kaka was a one off statement... plus everyone else we signed then definitely for me.... But I think he was too early for us... 2 years from now!!!!

Having said that... I'm very happy with what we have for now.

Absoloutely the best player in the world for the best part of ten years. Effortlessly glides past players and can score and assist goals.
Not slagging the op thats her opinion but I do recall him tearing apart them at the swamp and in Italy a class apart.
Would love him at City but the way Hughes has conducted himself in the transfr market I wouldn't question it so far.

My cousan from Italy was over a few weeks ago and he's a life long Milan fan (lives there as well). He said that for the past 2 years, Kaka has been "ordinary", he even said that the Milan fans for the last 2 years had been saying that Pato was their best player, not Kaka. Would take his word for it because hes actually an Italian, Milan fan, and lives there? lol

I think he might have struggled with us. I'm glad we are building a proper team rather than the focus all being on one player. I suspect Robinho was hampered at times last season by all the attention on him, certainly from defenders.

His agent said he dreams of playing in the premier leugue, so i honestly axpect we will sign him for around 30 million when he is 30.

Still think we've had a lucky escape Pam?

Scored a quality goal at the weekend and he still hasn't been on a losing side since leaving Milan.

Kaka is mediocre/shit (no pun intended) and wouldn't last 10 mins in the Prem, we certainly dodged a bullet there.

Hilarious thing is, if we had got him and he was playing like Bellars is now everyone would be raving and saying he was the best player in the World.

Kaka is a phenomenal footballer and would walk into any team in the world, to say we dodged a bullet is fucking mental!
