I've just had lunch with someone who works on the commercial side of things at City and picks up decent info/gossip,

He's been told our owners have not given up on signing Kaka? They would match any rival bid in the summer and test Milan's/Kaka's resolve again.

Also said a few fences have been mended personally between certain go-betweens out in Abu Dhabi and Berlusconi in last couple weeks.

That's all he had, really.

Just wondered if Ajay/Dubai Blue etc etc would know/opinion - would our owners want to be seen as grovelling desperados or do they simply not take no for an answer?

Don't think my ticker could take all that again.

Yeah but this time offer about 30% LESS for the transfer fee and his wages. If they are tempted, I doubt anyone would beat that offer anyway. Great player but old news, plus he already rejected us.

At least you have the whole summer to give people more thinking time.

One's thing for sure, if those bastards at Madrid come in, we should ramp-up the price anyhow, and give Kaka something to really think about.

Personally, Madrid want Ronaldo, they know they will get Ronaldo at some point. They bide their time - why can't we?
