I think its as obvious as that great big red nose on Fergursons face that City will go back in for Kaka in the Summer. I'd even go so far as suggesting thats why City told Cook to back out of the deal for damage limitation purposes with a view to the long term.
I think Milan we're surprised at the opposition of their fans to selling Kaka, I think they drip fed the information to the press hoping that the £100m would buffer the fans reaction and initial anger but they misjudged the situation completely. Let the best part of 6 months go by, let Beckham try and slowly work his way in there because he hasn't got the balls to admit he fucked up in going to America, let their press drip feed the Milan fans that they're skint and can't afford him and with an ageing squad and are struggling it will be in the best interests for Milan and for Kaka, let Kaka dwell on how City were going to utilise him as a brand etc, let our owners work away in the background and I honestly believe City will make another attempt and be successful this time in the summer.
