The 1/5 price means that you will have to put £5 on to win £1, therefore not really worth it, it normally means that the bookies are pretty sure that it will happen or in racing terms it's a winner.

If a lot of money is put on a certain outcome, it becomes "the favourite" and the price is shortened (i.e. made smaller) and that of the others are pushed out (i.e. made bigger). so the fact that kaka is 1/5 to sign mean's a lot of people have placed bets to that effect,there you go dumb blonde ;0)
