He was in his peak of his career in fairness and at that time I was gutted he didn't sign but don't just one of them things.

It was probably the one transfer that we were glad that never happened. Don't get me wrong he was a fantastic player but he wasn't at his best when the rumours of us trying to sign him.
He could have turned out like Robinho where all the hype that doesn't match the performance.
