Kalidou Koulibaly

2 names in my Full List that I got wrong:
Luka Reischl
(16) <-- Striker, he signed a new deal
Tanguy Kouassi (18)

2 Confirmed so far:
Roméo Lavia (16)
Josh Adam (16)

It changed nothing.

His old club just want him to be their record sale. Now they are in a position where can ask for that amount.
So City are going to allow themselves agree a deal with a player. And then he’s going to sign a new deal with his parent club. While City know now they’re going to have to pay mite as a result and the club are going to be okay with that? You can see why there’s red flags regarding this one.

Could be wrong here it’s a vague memory, but didn’t something similar happen with Fernando ?

All agreed from Man City & The Players side.
(In the same sense as Leroy & Bayern)

just remains to make it official with both clubs & then make it official with the player.

100% chance they play for Manchester City Next season:
Houssem Aouar
Thiago Almada
Rayan Ait Nouri
Amad Traoré

Wait a second... This isn’t remotely the same thing. We always agree with the player first but an agreement with the player means absolutely nothing if we haven’t agreed a fee with the club as well. We’ve seen this story a million times...Alves, Jorginho, on and on down the line. How can you possibly say those are 100% when we still have to deal with Aulas and the rest of the clubs?

I believe you that those are all targets, and the club is working on it to some degree, but that isn’t how transfers work.

Good player, but he's too old for me, maybe only 3 years at the level we are looking to play?

the CAS case.
Media noise.

that why even with most of our other targets, our name is rarely associated with them. especially in the case of Camavinga & Kouassi. Brings too Much attention, even more so with all the negative news plaguing us ATM.

This time last year we were already publicly courting Cancelo & Rodri.

This time last year it was basically the worst kept secret in Football Rodri was on his way here

It has happened a few times with youngsters from Eastern Europe on small fees, either that or they were going to sell to Italy,as for Fernandoi do not know, his transfer was burned into memory for other reasons

The way I see it, if we signed Koulibaly for £70m, we'd be paying £50m for three world class seasons at his peak, maybe even four, and then another £20m for a couple more years for an excellent senior squad player to ease out and pass the baton over to a younger player. When you break it down like that, it makes a lot of sense.
Not when the young player (Garcia) is coming into the last year of his contract and deserves a chance to show what he can do right now. It makes no sense at all, it's just a repeat Sancho situation. We don't need Koulibaly now, we've still got time while we have Fernandinho to see if Garcia, Stones or Adaradiayo can cement a place over the next 12 months.

I'm confident.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME

This time last year it was basically the worst kept secret in Football Rodri was on his way here

I meant relative to the end of the season.

we had publicly courted Rodri around early March & by early May, Pep was giving him phone calls in the parking lot.

meanwhile We have zero concrete public info this time
(Besides Houssem Aouar)

I really hope you're wrong about those targets, especially our first team centre back options. We already fucked up the league title this season not replacing Vinny, if we fail to sign an international class, tall, quick, strong centre back again before next season it's bordering on negligence and certainly arrogant and complacent.

Garcia is too small, weak and young. Fernandinho is too old and a world class midfielder.

We need Koulibaly.

And Sancho to replace Sané.

Those two are all we need. Almost guarantee the scouse pricks would not win the league next season if we sign them. I don't see how anyone could disagree with this.

we are after a Left(Footed ideally)Centre-Back for the U18 Academy team & a Left Winger for the U23 team.

the CB: born between 2004 & 2003(Ideally closer to 2004, so that he doesn't outgrow the U18 too fast. <-- no concrete names for the primary target

Same for the left Winger, looking for someone born in 2003 ideally. <-- Joelson Fernandes is one of the names in consideration, but lots of options.

Chances are Liverpool will get over 100 points so even if we’d got high 90s again we wouldn’t have won it. Main reason was lack of cover for Laporte and Mendy, not Vinny, and Garcia is intelligent enough to learn quickly will do great in a Pep team Fernandinho did okay. Cover for Laporte and Mendy as well as a fitter Mendy will get us back to 95 -100 points next season. Think liverpool will drop back if not and 95- 100 isn’t enough so be it.

Garcia would sign immediately if he knew he was going to play the role Otamendi or Stones did this season as 4th CB.

It's a complete non-issue.

I disagree, I'm fine if Bastoni comes as Laporte's backup at left sided centre back but anyone additional limiting Garcia's place on the right side I think will see him walk away.

Our 4 CB's last season played

55 games (Laporte)

39 games (Stones)

33 games (Otamendi)

26 games (Kompany)

If you seriously think a 19 year old with no experience is going to turn his nose up at starting a minimum of 26 games, you're living on another planet. Not taking into account Fernandinho's 35 and covers other positions so if Garcia is a prodigy he could easily end up as 3rd choice.

And where else is a teenage CB with no experience going play that much? In the Champions League and going after trophies? No where.
