Kalidou Koulibaly

that ridiculously high line won us everything domestically and back to back titles with 198 pts,18 then 14 in a row

And we lost Kompany, Stones went strange & now Laporte is off his game, whilst at the same time, the teams in the Prem have been watching videos of us & have graduated from playing deep, just hoping for a draw, to playing super deep & whacking it over or past our slow, high line, hoping to nick 3 points.

And nowardays we rely on offsides doing our defending for us rather than actually defending with a high line like we used to.

Times are changing & we have to get back to being one step ahead imo.

I think we got away with it because we actually played creative midfielders. When we play Gundogan and Rodri together it doesn't work. We played Liverpool at home without KDB last season, and we went with a midfield 3 of Fernandinho, D Silva and B Silva and Bernardo was box to box all game and did not give that Liverpool midfield to run through us. We had runners alongside Fernandinho all game.

The problem is peps way of thinking. No defender to cover Kompany when he left and playing more conservative than usual. If we go with a midfield of Fernandinho/Rodri, with runners alongside such as B Silva/Foden and KDB then it would work. We can't be playing this 2 defensive midfielder shit. We will get away with it against the poor sides but we won't against the better sides as shown this season.

93:20blue stated that Koulibaly would be signed next week, nothing is done but now there is a report saying he’s destined for City
