Kalidou Koulibaly

ADL is a nightmare to deal with - the Italian Daniel Levy. However, you have to give a bit of grudging respect that he gets good deals for his club.
He could pick up a random rock and wouldn’t sell it for a penny less than 10m

Let's keep in mind that we currently don't have squad spots for both Koulibaly and Messi. Meaning we would have to leave out Otamendi/Zinchenko. I think we prefer to sell them first.

This i why i think City are not in a hurry.

Confusion, yes, but tif we are not in control of this one.....dealing through a third party (agent)

Bayern don’t do that shit. They’ll tap him up, all of their legends will publicly speak about how fantastic he would be at Bayern and the club would persuade him to run down his contract and leave for free, and Leipzig get fuck all

You can bet your bottom Deutschmark that Bayern have already agreed terms with the player and his agent - so when there’s a queue of clubs in a years time hoping to get a €40m bargain they’ll all be wasting their time.... and as always UEFA and the DFB will look the other way when it comes to Bayern and tapping up players.

This feel very like a Txiki special, like kdb, Stones, walker etc. The deal is done with the player as an “exclusive”. There are no other suitors. Then it’s about negotiating a fee with a selling club who don’t really have much of an option. I’m sure we will sign him this week.

You mean the player decided on only one club (City) so it doesn't matter what other clubs approach Napoli with?
Yeah, could be the case. The problem though is Koulibaly loves Napolis fans, the city and the club. He previously stated a dream would be to retire there. This means he will not play hardball with ADL and upset Napoli trying to force a move, because he claimed he loves it there. I can't see it as his style, he seem very grateful to them.

If ADL don't get what he thinks Kouli is worth, he AND Koulibaly would have no problems with him staying and finishing his career over there. We'll see what happens.

We can all have opinions on players? I don't rate him and if you look through my previous posts I've said it a few times that I don't think he'd do well in the Prem.

If you think he will do well, fair doos, I'm not really too arsed whether you agree or disagree.

Of course everyone's entitled to an opinion. Saying we dodged a bullet with Alexis, Maguire and Jorginho, yes maybe we did. We don't know how any of them would've performed under Pep, but Koulibaly is one of the best in the world, the Messi of defenders. This is not dodging a bullet.

Are we gonna say "we dodged a bullet" if we miss out on Messi too, because he's old and finished?

Highest level of bullshitting going on here imo, so many leaks, info, most of them is made up.

Can see De Laurentiis offering couple 10 thousand euros to Ramadani just to scare City into a quick improved offer with some info that United is involved now.

To be a football agent is great, you can get money from both sides and play the two sides out against each other too for your extra profit.

In which case, we let them pay 90million and give him 350k per week. As sure as night follows day, the scum are linked with one of our targets.

I wonder if Txikis got the gamesmanship yet to just flat out have a fake number number 1 target just to throw Woodward off our scent. I agree with you, more than happy to continue letting them batter there wage structure and over pay on transfers but eventually it’ll catch up to us often getting our second or third option.

I still prefer Diego Carlos, Upamecano or Ruben Dias to be honest. Mouldable, younger and bags of aggression. I think the key would be to bring in a decent defensive coach (Paul Power say) to assist/advise? Oh and revert Dhino to his natural position and let's see where we are.

Based on his performances in the latter stages of the Europa League, Diego Carlos would be a disastrous signing. I admit it’s a small sample size but he does seem like an even more rash version of Otamendi.
