Kalidou Koulibaly

You mean the player decided on only one club (City) so it doesn't matter what other clubs approach Napoli with?
Yeah, could be the case. The problem though is Koulibaly loves Napolis fans, the city and the club. He previously stated a dream would be to retire there. This means he will not play hardball with ADL and upset Napoli trying to force a move, because he claimed he loves it there. I can't see it as his style, he seem very grateful to them.

If ADL don't get what he thinks Kouli is worth, he AND Koulibaly would have no problems with him staying and finishing his career over there. We'll see what happens.

Of course everyone's entitled to an opinion. Saying we dodged a bullet with Alexis, Maguire and Jorginho, yes maybe we did. We don't know how any of them would've performed under Pep, but Koulibaly is one of the best in the world, the Messi of defenders. This is not dodging a bullet.

Are we gonna say "we dodged a bullet" if we miss out on Messi too, because he's old and finished?

The 'Messi' of defenders? Wow. I don't know if you are being serious or on the wind up?

You can bet your bottom Deutschmark that Bayern have already agreed terms with the player and his agent - so when there’s a queue of clubs in a years time hoping to get a €40m bargain they’ll all be wasting their time.... and as always UEFA and the DFB will look the other way when it comes to Bayern and tapping up players.

Bayern needs a right winger - they have enough central defenders or players that can play the position. With Süle and Alaba the places in the first eleven for central defenders are already set. And then there is still a Lucas Hernandez, next year still Boateng and maybe Martinez (if he does not leave this season), Tanguy Kouassi who already played some matches for PSG this season... With a good right winger replacement even Pavard is a good right footed centre back.

And he is 29.

Think he’s talking about Upamecano

I’ll happily wager you if he leaves RBL - for his buyout clause next summer he pitches up in Bavaria, whether Bayern need him or not.

If we sign Messi and lose out on Koulibaly I will be delirious, WHAT a deal that will be.

Koulibaly is 29 years old, hardly pulling up trees or having the top sides all over Europe beating down Napoli or his door for him, we simply move on and spend £60m on a better CB for the long term than Koulibaly.

We still have to move Garcia and Otamendi on, there is a chance Stones will also be shown the door, leaving us with just Ake and Laporte with experience, add to that the likes of Tosin, TH-B and one or two others who would see a slot in the 4 open for them, but we will need another dominant CB, for me this should be someone like Pau Torres or Dayot Upamencao and not this Koulibaly fella, we are wasting our time with this idiot at Napoli stringing it along until another club gets bored of their targets and comes after KK as 3rd or 4th choice and he gets the bidding war he desires

I’m not down on the player like many of you but we should have moved on a long time ago. Napoli just can’t be dealt with we are running too much risk

100 per cent agree . We need to put our last bid on the table and then it’s upto them . No point hanging around all summer . Feel sorry for the he player as he wants to come to us .
