Kalvin Phillips

If he is forced out of the club against his will, he would be entitled to full contract value, even if he joined another club.

I suspect your scenario is correct only if he agrees to move, and from what was posted in here yesterday, he has no intention of doing that.
If he does a fully Danny Mills we have to pay him ( 30M plus according to Tolmie)

But the point I was making is that I don't believe for one second he would do that, he is an England regular and to continue with that he will have to be playing regularly.

IF we get in our targets this window I would think the club will "suggest" to him it's best to go out on loan, with us picking up part of his wages.

THB worth maybe £15m with a year left? Doyle £20m ish?
20m for each for me in this market, crazy high but we are treble winners and have to take advantage.

They need bodies and cash , so it works out well for all involved.

He has already stated he wants to stay, so we will just have to see what pans out these next few days

I think Wolves will want £60m at least for Nunes but if we can bring the net costing down with players then happy days

Not so sure, Kovacic no worries at all, superb, classy player.

Kalvin just looks lost in our shirt and to be honest it's sad to see.
I'd like to say Kalvin will come good this season but when is he going to play? If he plays on the League Cup, that's not enough games for him and the only way he is getting in the first team is if Rodri, God forbid, gets injured. Even then he would probably pick Kovacic as a replacement instead. I think a loan move would probably benefit Kalvin.

Anyone who has sympathy for a "nice guy" sat on his arse , grinning like a moron on 150k a week needs a serious look at themselves.

He's not sat on his arse, he is working in training like the rest. City asked him to join for 150k a week. That's is our error not his.

I mean but but but he's smiling, fucking hell pmsl.

He's an International Pro footballer who is not starting games, hardly ideal is it?

Completely our fault as you say, but sitting on a bench is not going to do HIS career any good whatsoever.

Currently his chances of getting any opportunities in the side are limited and it would probably be best for all parties that he left. I was quite pleased when we signed him as I thought he would be a good back up for Rodri, but unfortunately it has not worked out for him.
