As a kid heard booing of Ian Bowyer, Big Joe , Derek Jefferies if I'm not mistaken. Also cheering when Joe would catch the ball hardly did his fragile confidence any good. Only heard Joey Barton booed at the stadium but he deserved it.Maine Rd was a bearpit at times to our own players, we were known for it

If that's the case. Then I hope he has a successful careerThink he stays until the January window and by then he'll have been getting some meaningful playing time or (more likely in my view) he'll have realised that it's not going to happen with us and go somewhere on loan with the hope of a permanent move next summer.
Any more edits? Let's hope Kalvin Phillips is a success here for the benefit of the team and club and himself. If he flops hey ho, it happens, you'll get over it.And you've proved you're a plonker
Ian Bowyer was the first boo boy I was aware of. There have been plenty since, some deserved (Mills, Clough, Fowler (IMO)) and some not (Towers). As a kid heard booing of Ian Bowyer, Big Joe , Derek Jefferies if I'm not mistaken. Edghill received dogs abuse, i was made up for him when he had the massive gonads to take a pen in the play off final & duly scored. As a kid heard booing of Ian Bowyer, Big Joe , Derek Jefferies if I'm not mistaken. Yes, I remember those three from the distant past. The worst one was when we were playing Newcastle and I think we were 4-0 up and Joe let a Malcolm MacDonald daisy cutter through his legs. The next time he picked the ball up there was a loud cheer from parts of the crowd, it wasn't as if his howler affected the outcome but I can only imagine what that crowd reaction did to his confidence. As a kid heard booing of Ian Bowyer, Big Joe , Derek Jefferies if I'm not mistaken.
