There's still room from Phillips I think. There's possibly room for one more CM/AM/Winger , especially if Palmer leaves and with KDB out for months.

I mean we have plenty of squad places now with our thin squad. And with palmer gone it means Foden and Bernardo will probably be used in attacking slots, which leaves Kovacic and Nunes to go forward. Phillips still is "needed" and he seems content to stay.

Content to stay for what surely peps made the message clear he ain't getting game time.

Maybe. But if he stays and we have an injury crisis he is a handy insurance. Not great for him but could be important.

Kalvin must be badly advised or he really wants to sit it out. If he's interested to play football he must realistically admit it won't be here.
Of course he can finish his career at this point and collect medals with us, turning 28 in December and his contract ends 2028, when he's 32.

Ah well, his choice. But sad to see. Sometimes you have make a step down to find your level, that's no shame.
