Zero appearances, apparently was a massive twat around the training ground who was hated by everyone, refused to learn English because he said it was “a primitive language”
Think we ended up getting about half a million when we flirted him
Thankfully our due diligence has improved since then

Aye, and the problem with that is it becomes harder and harder to even find a loan move for him. Would anyone in the Premier League take a chance on him now? And if not, would he be too proud to go down a league?
 
He'll end up back at Leeds, no brainer for them, low cost and they need some prem experience. That said, I really really hope the vile bastards go back down

Mangala had some good games and like you said we could flog him later. He also had a decent season at Valencia on loan.

Fernando was decent for us not great. He just was never going to fit into peps system. He had a solid career at Gala and Sevilla.

I just don’t see Kalvin as premier league player anymore. He is at best a decent championship player with injury problems.

Vuoso sound like Tevez without talent. His career never took off afterwards.
 
Leeds has got to be our best chance and hope he catches some form there.

A buy option if he plays so many games and they stay up, we should push for.

Then hope they do stay up.

An unmitigated disaster after that
We bizarrely extended his contract to protect Txiki’s ego, and still let him go on a free. That decision alone cost is several million in wages, let alone the original investment

Eliaquim Mangala was the worst professional footballer I've seen in 65 years of watching the game. An absolutely appalling lack of talent.

The thing is that he knows he’s never getting another contract like the one he’s on now, so I suspect wherever he ends up, it’s going to involve us paying off a large part of his contract.

I remember thinking at the time the scouting reports would make very interesting reading. What the fuck did the scouts see in him that was worth £35m.

There was more matches that were decent than that.

We kept a clean sheet vs Spurs away his first seaason. In 9 of the matches we played that season we kept a clean sheet. He played 24 matches in the Pl that season and 23 the next season. He also played in Chmapions League.

Kalvin has started 2 matches for us and he was gash.

I agree that renewal was bizarre.

But Kalvin is a different disaster level to Mangala.
