Personally I'm not a fan of KB but I really love Joni Mitchell. In fact I agree with David Crosby and a few others, she's the greatest singer/songwriter, even better than Dylan.

Kate's albums to me enter the "stage musical, theatre" territory (which I dislike).
She doesn't chart in America very much, but I know her fans in England are true believers.

It's silly to argue about music and musicians though. We all have differing tastes.

I know when you start a thread celebrating an artists birthday like this one, you have to expect some will say "He/She is shite" ....as stated I'm not a KB fan but I don't think she is "shite"
