Kate's baby - so it begins

Re: Kate's baby, so it begins

Good luck to them as parents but personally speaking I could not give a flying fuck.

Will never meet this kid or his parents. Their lives have no impact on mine in reality.

Just watching news at 10 right now and I'm bewildered at all the fuss. Less was made about the kid dumped on a doorstep a few days ago. Hate to sound bleak but this kind of hyperbole blows my head apart.

One way to look at it... The royals pump billions into the economy, part of the money would have gone toward giving that dumped baby hospital treatment and care.

Paris seems to do OK. Last time I looked France was still a republic. Unless you're saying that without the royal family nobody would bother going to London?

Your views on the royal family are perfectly valid, but this country cannot flourish in the century ahead without trading on its pomp to the emerging middle classes in the BRIC plus nations.

Our weird and idiosyncratic ways are our best hope of escaping the demographic timebomb which will engulf most of Western Europe.

Ah it's Bluemoon's own Norris. I can't help but notice you're always first with the news. I picture you sat in front of a bank of TV screens showing rolling news, monitoring a million Twitter feeds and taking phone calls and texts from thousands of mates. ;-)

I've been avoiding the news today so thanks. Any news on if he's ginger?
