I’d normally be fully supportive of that, but that’s not what people have donated for. I’ve found in the past 1894 can’t win in this situation, there are people out there who may not donate again if their donation isn’t used for what it was intended for. I can understand that. I contributed for the flag and would be happy for the food bank to have the rest, but as you say, that wasn’t mentioned in the initial appeal.

Extra money we can put into next season.

Get it, difficult. Was always going to exceed £5000. Putting a ‘gold trim’ on it seems a bit wasteful to fully use the cash.
