Keep bringing in those talented kids

I've lost the link but I have just read that Faour scored 189 goals in 55 games playing two years ahead of his age.

That does sound promising but there was a kid at Real some years ago who broke all Raul's records and he never became a top player. name escapes me now tho

Just wanted to add that the 189 goals were in 7-a-side matches (he would have been only 12 years old at the time), while the 114 goals were in regular 11-a-side matches, according to this article: http://www.sydsvenskan.se/sport/fotboll ... ertraffad/

I wanted to see if I could find some more recent stats for this kid and they are obviously quite a bit more modest, at 2 goals in 6 matches playing in the Swedish U17 Allsvenskan Södra (south). However, I did come across another kid, Zia Sakirovski, who apparently trialed with City two years ago and who seems to be scoring goals for fun in the same team - 12 goals in 6 matches. Hopefully City will keep an eye on this lad as well.

Looking good for the future.

This is really encouraging. If we can continue bringing in a lot of young talents, at least a handful of them will turn out to be world class players. Pellegrini spoke a lot about working with the Youth. If there was one thing I didn't like about Mancini was that he never integrated the youth in. I think he simply lacked the patience to nurture youth in training... Hopefully Pellegrini will do a good job!
