Keeping it real. City and the Spanish giants.

Real are definitely beatable. Great team as they are, there are times they don't appear cohesive and a team playing on the counter could hurt them.

I think on the occasions we go defensive, I think we are probably the best equipped team in the Premier League to play against Barca in a bid to get a result. However, I think we (as well as the rest of English football) are still a huge distance behind that team and getting a result against Barca is probably beyond us currently.

What makes you sure that we will beat Mourinho's Madrid?

You know Mourinho is the best manager in the world right and a double CL winner?

I'd agree we are probably the best equipped to deal with Barca but how can you say Real are beatable. In a knockout tournament Real are the one team that will almost definitely put us out. They have some brilliant players and the best manager in the world. He is the master of mind games (see Gaurdiola losing it last year) and the master of organisation. Unitl the ref decided that he wanted Barca to go through last year, the "best team ever" could quite simply not get through Madrid. They were fast running out of ideas and as usual resorted to cheating.

We'll twat them all.
Hmm.

Anyway, Barca when they played United in the CL I thought, 'we would do better against these than United'. Don't think we would beat them in a one off like that game, but we wouldn't roll over as easy. We would have more of a chance v Madrid I think, as Barca make them look ordinary at best. Will be interesting to see if we are pitted against one of them in the knockout rounds, should we reach them.

If it's over two legs, how Inter Milan did it: get right in their faces at home with a man on Messi the whole game, ours would be Nige. Then take our chances, we'd need a two goal lead. In the second leg defend for our lives, De Jong, Barry and Yaya compacting the middle giving them no way through so they have to go out wide because they haven't got anyone to cross it to. If that goes to pot, pray that Agüero performs one of his 'game changing' moments.
