Kelechi Iheanacho - 2016/17 Performances

That's just not true. He's a creator as well and the stats shows it. As an example Aguero has 1 key pass per 90 mins in the PL this season. Iheanacho has 2.3 KP per 90mins. Aguero is dispossesed 2.5 times and has 2.8 unsuccessful touches per 90 mins. Iheanacho 3,6 in both. Iheanacho wins more aerial duels and has two more assists then Sergio despite playing 1700 minutes less. I'm not saying he's better then Sergio but he deserves way more chances than he's been given and he hasn't even been close to as poor as some of you points out. He started the season perfectly and then after a poor performance against United in the League Cup Pep stopped playing him. Awful treatment of a 20 year old player.
We will have to agree to disagree then.

Ridiculous talk here. If we had Messi and Pep benched him for months people would still be coming to Pep's defense. There is nothing more a 20 year-old can do in the amount of time he's had on the pitch.

No shortsighted at. He isnt a special talent IMO. A poacher he is, but he has little else to offer. Are you advocating that had we played him more, we would not be in a battle for top 4?.

You are extremely short sighted. He is a very special talent. If he wasn't Manchester city wouldn't have bought him last year. He wouldn't have scored 14 goals in his debut season or had the goals and assists he has had for both club and country.

I am advocating that if used properly he would contribute a lot more in the efforts of the team. As one person said, this is terrible treatment of a young player. Now if he goes off and shows what he can do then you will be eating humble pie.

Another thing it shows is how one dimensional the team and style of play is becoming.

Yes If either Kelechi or Nolito had been playing when Aguero and Jesus were missing we would have more points. Even worse when Aguero was substituted he was left on the bench and deensive midfielders were brought on. With the obvious exceptions of Jesus and Aguero he is the only out and out goalscorer. If we do lose out in top 4 by goal difference then not playing Kelechi is an obvious reason. I can be corrected but he has a better goals per minute than Gabriel Jesus this season. Like a lot of players that didn't suit Peps way he will go onto be a great player with another club

Really feel for the kid.

Hope he moves in this Summer. He will score many goals at a high level. Not just a scorer either.

Hope we have the sense for a buyback.

Exactly some on here are so blinded by their love of Pep they just make stuff up to defend his every action. Kelechi hasnt had a fair crack and in no way is he poor.

Stupid argument mate as you cannot prove this.

Difference is Navas has a few years experience as a professional playing in a different position he isn't the most talented he is more of a team player. Kelechi seems a grounded kid but has still got a long way to go.

Pep played no forward when Aguero was out. Do you believe that Nolito and Kelechi would not have been an improvement? I firmly believe that Kelechi would have got a few goals and there would have at least improved out goal difference.

you stated as being fact that we would have scored more. I simply pointed out that those claims are stupid as you cannot claim that as being truth.

Its not stupid. You are being unreasonable, whenever we have needed goals in the past Nacho has delivered its only right to trust in one of our most potent strikers especially when kun and GJ are out injured. Still don't understand why the arguement doesn't make sense. You need goals, you play a goal scorer, he delivers. Its not rocket science.

I dont understand why the club didnt loan him when Jesus arrived in January !

If we had loaned Nacho and Garcia then we wouldn't have any promoted EDS players in the first team. So we decided to stall their growth, management had no plans of playing them we just wanted to keep them here as a way of showing the footballing world that we have also promoted some of our academy boys . A very dirty deceptive and fraudulent trick on the part of the management.

Tongue in cheek?

If you said playing him and we may have scored more goals - no probs.

Anyway, we disagree, so let's leave it there
