Compare him to Aguero & Jesus. Is he better than them? ... Thats why he's not in squad, same with Nolito. He's a hotshot finisher but his all round game lacks unfortunately. He'll be loaned and sold in the next 2 years for a tidy profit.

We're forgetting how good he can be. Let's see him get a chance against Huddersfield, I can see him scoring there.

People tend to forget or neglect the new car once a new and more expensive one is purchased, but as time goes on, they realise they can't drive a Lamborghini or Ferrari on a bumpy road. Iheanacho will show his immense potentials elsewhere, then all these plastic fans calling him crap eat humble pie. Go back and watch his games under Pellegrini, you'll realise how much confidence he's lost under Guardiola. My take is, if you don't wanna use him, then sell him.

I don't think anyone is calling him crap though. He's very highly regarded by most City fans, and the vast majority want him to stay and be a success here.

Agree completely. Hes a great prospect but his game time will be limited for the next season or two. This will hamper his progress. We should loan him (not sell) and let him develop further then when Aguero goes hopefully Kelechi is ready to step in. If he doesnt develop then we visit that situation as requires.

Im pretty sure I've seen some "fans" call him crap or some similar words. And as Cambiaso said, you just need to look at his games last season to see how big of a talent he is and we would be stupid to get rid of him. Guardiola needs to find a way to give him some minutes though.

hes so talented. the problem for him is getting regular game time. unless he becomes second choice and aguero leaves i dont see him getting much.

No doubt he's a fox in the box BUT he needs to improve his game overall. IMO he does not link quite well during build ups, and it makes the play more predictable. A few more months polishing his dribbling and tactical acumen and he'll be a dangerous player.

I think Pep has deliberately taken him out of the firing line, because his form was a bit iffy, just to look after him, not because he can't use him.

It's a standard method used to bring players through without overdoing it.

It's just that we aren't used to seeing it happen, at City, anymore. Ferguson did the same with almost all their 'Class of ****s' at various times.

I'm not convinced we should loan him out unless we intend to sell him. I think he'd be better off here training with Jesus so he can learn exactly what Pep wants from a forward. Out on loan he'll be able to continue playing the way he does now and that won't get him any closer to being ready for us.

surely playing matches now is the best for him. trainings all well and good, but its no way near as beneficial as playing every week. if he was just breaking into the team id agree with you, but hes at the stage he needs game time.

I take your point but I also worry as to whether Pep actually rates him. He called Jesus, Sane and Sterling the future and made no reference to Kelechi.

I hope Kelechi stays for a long time, he's got his flaws but at such a young age I'm convinced a coach like Pep could make him great.

needs to go out on loan and come back better and stronger

Ive been saying this a bunch, but I personally hope we can get him loaned to a club like Sevilla, some former Blues are there and Pep would trust Sampaoli to mentor him. Plus they lose Vietto who returns to Atleti.

He said something similar about Kelechi a few days earlier though, included him in the list.

I think a loan would help, it must be tough for him. As far as i know he never plays for the EDS or anything, so the only game time he gets is an appearance here or there with the first team. Then he's expected to make a huge impact despite the fact he can't be match sharp. It's a difficult enough situation for experienced players, let alone a youngster.
