Kelechi Iheanacho

Given that he's missed most of the season through injury and work permit nonsense, might it be a good shout to loan him to NYC over the summer? He's already ten times the player that Nemec lump is and he looks a more talented player than the speed merchant Shelton? It's hard to imagine he wouldn't improve that team. At the moment it looks like he's going to get back into fitness just in time for the seson to end and there to be the off season with no football, it seems like a waste of his year to not try and get him some football over the summer?

Sounds like a good idea.

He'll be playing at the u20 World Cup so I don't think that's possible. Nice thought though.

Anyone know why he was being played as a Striker? He's som much more effective when played in the hole just behind the striker, or even as a deep-lying playmaker.

Hopefully he's fit enough to make Manu Garba's Squad for New Zealand.
I thought he was an out and out striker, he certainly looked like one last night.
He's capable of playing as an out and out striker, but his natural position and the position that led to City signing him was playing just behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

His creativity is something that's really wasted if he's played as a striker. If you guys wanted a striker, you should've signed Isaac Success.

His passing and vision is so advanced for his age. He's too good to spend another season in the EDS.

100% agree.

Mad that that was him 'rusty'. Changed the game. Made Pozo reach something like his previous levels and linked up with Byrne and Garcia brilliantly.. he's got an incredible amount of talent. He can do anything. Dribble, strong, finish clinically, smash em from long range, pass like Silva. Loads of flair too.

Only criticism was that he dribbled a bit too much, but that's just enthusiasm.

Hopefully he will be good when fully fit and with some more matches under his belt.

Agree with this. Kelechi was absolutely exceptional dropping deeper for Nigeria, Silva like passes to the front players, but he has barely kicked a ball in the past year, so that side of his game may need some fine tuning. And City don't have a cf as such available, so that's him for now.
